Mr. Joe Madden, Principal Analyst at Mobile Experts LLC., will be giving a keynote address about OnGo in Industrial Applications.
Joe Madden is Principal Analyst at Mobile Experts LLC. Mr. Madden provides most of the business analysis behind our forecasts, as well as primary research in semiconductor areas.
Over 26 years in mobile communications, he accurately predicted the rise of Digital Predistortion, Remote Radio Heads, Small Cells, and the Mobile IT market. He validates ideas with mobile and cable operators, as well as hardware suppliers to find the match between business models and technology.
Ms. Rachelle Chong will speak on the Challenges in Rural Fixed Wireless.
Rachelle Chong is a registered California lobbyist, consultant and career regulatory lawyer who assists clients before the California PUC & the FCC. Commissioner Chong is a seasoned regulatory veteran, having served as a Commissioner of the FCC and the CPUC, a law partner at Graham & James and Coudert Brothers, General Counsel/VP Government Affairs for two start-ups, VP Government Affairs for Comcast California, and senior policy counsel for the California Technology Agency. Her clients include Lyft, Sidecar, Airbnb, Race Communications, GeoLinks, Spiral Internet, South Valley Internet, PropSF LLC, and non profits in broadband. She serves on the boards of pdvWireless, SHLB, the California Asian Chamber of Commerce, and the California Foundation for the Economy & the Environment. Past boards include Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bay Area, the California Emerging Technology Fund, the California Telehealth Network, Corsair, Lightbridge and Authorize.net. She holds a J.D. from UC Hastings College of the Law, and dual B.S. from UC Berkeley (Political Science/Journalism).
Mr. Mark Gibson, Senior Director, Business Development at CommScope will provide a status on Initial Commercial Deployment.
With over 35 years of spectrum management experience, Mark is responsible for developing domestic and international business opportunities for Comsearch. In addition to leading Comsearch’s technical and business development efforts numerous wireless and spectrum-related products and services, he has led efforts to address spectrum sharing between Federal government and commercial users. He leads CommScope’s CBRS efforts on the Spectrum Access System/Environmental Sensing Capability. He is on the board of the CBRS Alliance, an officer on the board of the Wireless Innovation Forum and is a co-chair of the Commerce Spectrum Management Advisory Committee, where he has also co-chaired working groups related to spectrum sharing and data exchange issues. He has led Comsearch’s spectrum management efforts including the development of the SAS, TV White Space, spectrum sharing analysis protocols and sharing criteria, as well as development of Comsearch’s engineering services and software products. He has led Comsearch’s efforts in working with the American Hospital Association as their technical partner for WMTS frequency coordination. He has authored several papers on spectrum sharing and relocation and has advised numerous wireless participants in their system design. He is a Life Member of IEEE.
