Winners will be selected based on notable market impact, prominent customer benefits of OnGo deployments
Sunnyvale, Calif. March 3, 2020 —The CBRS Alliance, an industry organization focused on driving the development, commercialization, and adoption of OnGo™ shared spectrum solutions, today opened nominations for the 2020 OnGo Awards. CBRS Alliance member and non-member companies across the OnGo ecosystem may submit details on real-world OnGo deployments across several award categories until April 6, 2020.
The OnGo Awards initiative recognizes innovations in delivering OnGo solutions to end-users and highlighting the market impact of shared spectrum in the 3.5 GHz CBRS band, estimated to contribute over $15 billion to the U.S. economy. The awards are open to commercial and trial applications of OnGo. There is no limit to the number of entries submitted and the cost per entry is $250.
Award winners will be decided based on distinction in business models, ease of deployment, cost savings, new service offerings, and cutting-edge technology. The 2020 OnGo Awards will be judged by a panel of judges comprised of industry analysts with distinct expertise within the OnGo market, led by Joe Madden, Founder and Chief Analyst at Mobile Experts.
“2020 is the start of a completely new business model for wireless communications; OnGo will reshape the way that spectrum is used for the next 100 years,” said Madden. “This is the first year for the OnGo Awards, and the excitement surrounding new business ventures has been overwhelming. The scope of the Initial Commercial Deployment over the last few months has made the momentum obvious, and the recent release of Full Commercial Deployment has started to open up bigger investments.”
OnGo Award finalists will be announced on May 4, which also marks the commencement of voting for the People’s Choice Award. Award winners will be announced and honored on-stage on Tuesday, May 19 at Connect (X) 2020, the leading 5G infrastructure event in North America that takes place at the Miami Convention Center in Florida.
