The OnGo Roaming Whitepaper examines the key issues and challenges associated with various roaming models when using the CBRS Shared Home Network Identifiers (SHNI). We look at Home Routing, using a Roaming Hub, and Local Breakout models, and how to implement roaming from a public network to a private network, and from a private network to a public one. Rating and charging models are also considered, as well as the Service Level Assurance/Agreements that are involved in enabling roaming. The primary focus is on LTE, but does discuss some aspects of 5G implementation. We don’t make a recommendation on which to implement, as each model has its own challenges and benefits.
